Orphen & Orphen: The Revenge

Orphen and it's sequel Orphen: The Revenge are an anime that deals with magic, sorcerers and dragons. The main character is a young man who goes by his chosen name, Orphen who along with his apprentice Majic and a female tagalong Cleao who go on a quest to find a way to return the dragon, Bloody August to her human form, who happens to be Orphen's childhood friend and classmate from his days at The Tower a place where young sorcerers go to learn magic.

This anime has many twists and turns, but keeps you interested all the way to the end. But the character Cleao got on my nerves sometimes, I don't know why, maybe it was her voice actress, but I don't think so since I've heard the same voice actress doing other animes and it never bothered me before. I guess it just the character. Oh well, at least Orphen and Majic keep the show rolling.

Saiyuki: Requiem The Movie

This movie goes along with the Saiyuki tv series and the others that follw this classic anime. Our favorite group comes up upon a young demon girl in trouble and after helping her out accept her offer for a meal and a place to stay the night.

Unknowst to them they have fallen into a trap set for them by an old monk from their past.....

I found this anime movie very good and it had some of the chacters doing some unusal and different things then what you see them do in the anime series.

Hanaukyo Maid Team

Ok, I have just finished the anime Hanaukyo Maid Team. I must say that the anime sounded better then it actually was. It begins with a young man named Taro who's mother has passed away. He goes to live at his grandfather's mansion, where he is named the family head of a very wealthy family. There he has countless maids to take care of his every whim and they all seem to live just to serve him. In the end Taro grows very close to the head maid Mariel who has a few secrets of her own..

Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid

Ok, this is another cool anime that has everything from comedy to giant robots fighting. It also might be helping if you watch the first part of this series, so that you'll be able to understand this one a bit better.

Midori Days

This anime is crazy and funny and it's perfect for when you want to unwind. It begins with a teenage boy wanting a girlfriend, but he has no luck, since all the girls he asks, turns him down. But in the shadows, is Midori, a girl who secretly has a crush on him. Then all of a sudden one day he wakes up with Midori as his right hand. So the series is about how they deal with being stuck together while trying to figure out how to get back to normal.

Black Cat

Ok, I have finally made it back here to update this blog. Ok, this anime, Black Cat was pretty good, I believe, but it did have some slow parts that seemed to slow down the anime. I liked the whole Train and Creed story line and the one episode where Train is turned back into a child and he had to wear one of Eve's dresses while the others went shopping for some clothes that would fit him. LoL!
But the last few episodes, mainly the Eve saga kinda sucked, but watchable.

Ultra Maniac

Alright this 26 episode anime is about a transfer student named Nina, who happens to be from the Magis Kingdom and a witch in training. She comes to Earth to look for the Holy Stones. While on her quest to find the Holy Stones and to strenghten her magic skills, she meets her best friend Ayu, who also helps her on her assorted quests. But just as things look like things are going their way, trouble comes along in the form of Nina's cousin, who also happens to like to dabble in the dark arts, is also in search of the holy stones.

Video Girl Ai

This rather short anime runs for six episodes and is about a speical video store where only those pure of heart can see. The main chacter Yota finds this video store open on a dark a foggy night, just after he is turned down by the girl he loves, there he rents Video Girl Ai. As he watches the video at home Ai realizes that he needs help fixing his broken heart and starts climbing out of his tv screen, but thanks to Yota's broken vcr, something goes wrong and Ai comes out with a couple of lose wires, which makes her even more of a handful for Yota to take care of.

Boogiepop Phantom

Ok, now this anime Boogiepop Phantom is kinda confusing, even more then the anime Lain. It runs for 12 episodes and you must really pay attention and watch each episode carefully to keep up with the story cause it tends to skip around alot.

The story tends to surround Boogiepop Phantom, who or what she is is up in the air, but when she is around you know that something bad is about to happen.

Hand Maid May

This is an 11 episode anime called Hand Maid May. It begins with the main character, Kazuya who happens to be a computer/robot wizard and his best friend/enemy Nanbara uploads a viris on Kazura's computer hoping to ruin all his work, but instead Kazuya ends up accidently orders a Hand Maid May cyborg who is only a foot tall. As he grows to attached to May he has to come up with her $1,450,000.00 bill or send her back....

This anime was alright, but it had a bit too much panty flashes for me.

Trouble Chocolate

Trouble Chocolate is a 20 episode anime which is about a teenage boy named Cacao and his life at his school, Micro-Grand Acadamy. Which is unlike any school you have ever heard of. First of all, you can take classes in sorcery and they also have a Scientific Missionn Attack Team to help defend the school against all sorts of strange creatures that show up.

Anyawys one day during sourcery Cacao makes a mistake and out of his mistake comes a girl named Hinano, who happens to be made out of wood and his life his never the same again.

I really liked this anime and would recommend it to anybody who likes funny and crazy animes.

GTO! Great Teacher Onizuka

Alrighty here is the next one I just got finished watching. I must say that I was quit surprised that I liked this anime as much as I did. The story didn't sound all that great, but I thought what the heck, I'll give it a try and I'm glad I did. I found it to be very funny and entertaining. It keep me wondering what was going to happen next and the ending was cool. I hope they make more. Plus the opening theme song was by one of my favorite Japanes bands, L'Arc~en~Ciel! I have also heard there is a live action version of this anime /manga too. I got to check it out.....

Ouran High School Host Club

Well, I have appearef to have fallen behind here, but hopefully I can catch up tonight. Ok, the first anime up is one of my favorite manga and animes Ouran High School Host Club. The anime was quite funny, but they did skip some of my favorite bits in the manga and they also omited some characters. But it should be alright for Ouran fans. Plus the ending was left open for more episodes in the future, maybe.....

Zone of the Enders

Ok, I just finished this anime and I must say that it started out good, then started to slow down in the middle, but in the end it picked up quite nicely and had a good ending.

So I would recommend this to anyone who likes mecha animes! :)

Paradise Kiss

Sorry for the long delay in adding a post. We had not one but two deaths in our family last month, but I am now back online and raring to go. I have just finished the Paradise Kiss anime and I must say that the description made it sound like it would be better then it actually was. But, it was alright, not perfect, but ok.

It started out good and then went slowly down from there and I know I am not the only person who didn't like the ending. I felt sorry for George, being turned down by his girlfriend at the end, but I was glad to see his friend decided to go with him overseas and help his dreams come true. :)

Ghost Stories

I just got done watching the anime series "Ghost Stories". If you ever get a chance to watch it, watch the dubbed version first. The dubbed version just cracked me up. It was really americanixed like "Those Who Hunt Elves", but it was still good. The dubbed verison is also a bit more mature then the subbed verison. It has fifth graders talking about oral sex among other acts plus sleeping with their babysitter. So maybe you shouldn't watch it in front of kids. LoL!

Fanfiction

I am also a rapid reader of fanfiction mainly I go to the website fanfiction.net. I have been following one good fic written by a writer named vegetapr69. Her story "A Thin Line Between Love And Hate" is really good. Here's a link to the fanfic http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2982405/1/ Stop by and read it if you get a chance. It's an alterntive kinda of story about Sasuke and Hinata. Vegetapr69 did the pics Sasuke, Hinata and Itachi on my blog page too. She's got even more on her webpage too. Here's the addy http://www.freewebs.com/vegetapr69/ I like that pairing, as you can see from all their pics on my blog, but we'll probably only ever see it in fanfic and fan art.

Those Who Elves 1 & 2

Well, here I am again and right now I'm watching an anime called "Those Who Hunt Elves" . I have finished up season one and now I am on season two. So far so good. I am watching the dubbed version, maybe later on I'll go back and watch the subbed version. But on the dubbed version it seems like they have really Americanized it. They have jokes about Mulder and Scully from The X-Files as well, as a joke about Judge Judy and Ally McBeal. LoL!

It's about four people, three humans, a elf plus a spirit cat/tank oh and I can't forget a little bear who poops toilet paper. Crazy, I know. Anyways the three humans must find spell fragments on the skin of young females elves. So with the help of the elder elf, they go from town to town stripping the clothes off of female elves. Of course, things go wrong for them all the time, from being force to go undercover to being arrested. It's quite funny if you like the more crazier animes. :)

So I guess I'll give it four out of five stars.

My First Entry!

Hello Everybody! This is the very first post from me Otaku Girl! As you can tell from my name I am a major anime and manga fan, hence the name Otaku Girl! :)
